Mousa Art Initiative (MAI) 

Concept:

Mousa Art initiative (MAI) is located in St Louis MO. Sustained by a community of local artists and nonprofit art organizations, MAI is an art center filled with affordable studios, events, and a beautiful contemporary gallery.  

Vision:

MAI aspires to create a supportive community hub of emerging and professional artists and invites them to collaborate and exchange ideas. 

Goals:

• MAI aims to serve as a community hub for St Louis Mo artists. We offer affordable studio spaces where artists can work and have studio visits with other professionals. In addition, we offer exposure and promotion to artists by giving them the option to exhibit their works in various events including art walks. We invite artists to participate in solo/group exhibitions in our contemporary gallery. We are always working on improving our services and our future plans include creating a performance space and an artist foundry where artists can also have access to various facilities for working with ceramics, metals, wood, glass, fiber, 2D and digital. 

• MAI aims to create partnerships with St Louis Mo local nonprofit art organizations by offering them affordable spaces for various purposes and events. By bringing in various art organizations under the same roof, MAI aims to create a network of local community organizations that utilize the space to amplify their artistic services. In addition, our partnerships with local nonprofit organizations allow community development in the area through collaborative artistic, educational and empowerment projects that are focused on fostering connections, encouraging tolerance, and understanding between St Louis Mo’s diverse groups.
